Ms Abimbola Olufore is an international development and energy expert with over 20 years of global experience. She has spent more than 15 years working on sustainable development initiatives, focusing on the inclusiveness of rural communities in Nigeria and Niger. As the Co-Founder of Ceres Agro and VisionQuestAfrica, her efforts have been directed towards economic development in rural areas, improving food security, and reducing waste.
Abimbola has led impactful projects such as the Clean Cookstove Initiative, ensuring women in rural areas have access to healthier cooking options. She also spearheaded a campaign against gas flaring in the Niger Delta, advocating against its socio-economic effects on women and children in the region. With solid experience in DFID’s Community Engagement Strategy, Abimbola has also volunteered at several Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps. Her work at USAID Power Africa and DFID-FOSTER further demonstrates her ability to coordinate partnerships between government agencies and donors to deliver sustainable impact. Her leadership continues to advance sustainable development and energy solutions for underserved communities.
